Hardin Runs Hit String to 33 Straight Games Tuesday, April 26th , 2039 Erik Hardin of the Minnesota Twins extended his hitting streak to 33 straight games with 3 hits in today's 14-7 triumph over the Colorado Rockies at Colorado Field. "Erik has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Twins manager Drew Rucinski joked after the game. Erik Hardin doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. For the season, Hardin has hit .439 with 6 home runs and 25 RBIs. He has played in 26 games and scored 29 times. |
