Eifert Swats 3 HR Against Philadelphia Wednesday, March 30th , 2039 Cincinnati Reds shortstop Chad Eifert had a magnificent game against the Philadelphia Phillies, rocketing three balls out of Citizens Bank Park to help the Reds win, 11-1. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Eifert went 3-for-4 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Cincinnati manager Andre Jernigan said later. "Seems like Chad found his home run stroke today." Chad Eifert hit a solo-shot off Juan Soto in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Ivan Velez in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Chris Escalera in the 9th. |
