Dan Stelling did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cleveland Guardians from being beaten, 11-7, to the Minnesota Twins at Target Field. Stelling was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 runs. Minnesota reliever Vince Rutgers picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Mike DiMicco was saddled with the loss. Now 10-14, the Guardians have not played well this season.

In the bottom of the 4th, Minnesota took the lead on a 2-run single by Josue Ortega. At the time, the Twins were trailing 5-4, but Ortega's hit with two outs against Cleveland pitcher Mike DiMicco put them in front, 6-5.

"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Andrew Warner told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
