Pacheco drives in 4 runs, Leads Nationals to Win
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Washington Nationals and Milwaukee Brewers.
Washington defeated Milwaukee, 8-4, in large part due to 33-year old third baseman Danny Pacheco. Pacheco drove in 4 runs. The third baseman had 1 double and 1 home run for the Nationals. Picking up the win was Ricky Geho. He went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits. The right--hander struck out 6 and walked 2.
With Washington trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Pacheco hit a fastball from Josh Stewart for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Nationals ahead, 3-1.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Pacheco said. "We did a good job of that today."
The Nationals, now 10-5, have been red hot.
