Yankees Take Tight Tangle
Despite a great performance by Texas designated hitter Tyler Jenkins, the New York Yankees defeated the Rangers by the score of 7-6 at Yankee Stadium. Jenkins went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2. With the win, the Yankees have a record of 23-14.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 6-6, 29-year old left-handed pitcher Chris Lipari won it for New York. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Lipari hit a first pitch curveball from Danny Ruiz for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 7-6 win.

"The crowd was raucous," said Lipari.
